Think of a world where today’s Greek gods have kids who are part god and part human, known as demigods. This is an interesting idea from Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians books. In the beginning of the story, Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon, embarks on an adventure in a secret world filled with fictional gods, goddesses, and their wonderful children. Since 2005, two more books have been added to the series: The Trials of Apollo and The Heroes of Olympus. These books introduce new personalities and keep readers engaged.

How many books are in the set?

There are 17 books in the Percy Jackson universe, divided into three stories. As of 2023, there are six books in the classic Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. The Chalice of the Gods is the latest book to be released.

  2. A Sea of Monsters In this second book, Percy and his friends help save Camp Half-Blood when its magic protections begin to fail. They take a risky journey to the Sea of Monsters to retrieve a powerful item. They encounter many threats and discover important family secrets.
  3. The Titan’s Curse Kronos, an old Titan, poses a danger in this book, along with some new gods. Percy needs to help his friend Grover fight a powerful old monster. He has to cope with the curse mentioned in the title.
  4. The Labyrinth Fight As Percy starts high school, the conflict between the Gods and Titans intensifies. He and his friends must navigate a tricky maze inspired by the Greek tale of Daedalus and the Minotaur to save their world from destruction.
  5. The Last Olympian At the end of the story, Percy and his friends must protect Mount Olympus from the Titans. The battle goes to the streets of Manhattan and ends with a fight that changes everything.
  6. Our new book is called The Chalice of the Gods. When this book is released in 2023, Percy is about to begin college. He needs to pass three tests to get the letter of approval. He will then hang out with his friends for another exciting trip filled with old stories, gods, and the power of friendship.

Order of the Olympian Gods and Goddesses

  1. The Hero Who Got Lost This book introduces new characters and tells the story of a god named Jason who forgets who he is and becomes involved with the Olympians. Jason and his friends need to locate Percy Jackson and discover surprising information about Camp Half-Blood and its rival, Camp Jupiter.
  2. Being Neptune’s son. In this next part, Percy has lost track of where he is and finds himself in California. He discovers Camp Jupiter and must fight Roman gods in a myth-based war.
  3. The Mark of Athena Annabeth and Percy reunite, but their joy is short-lived because a war is approaching. They travel to Rome, where Annabeth searches for her role as the daughter of Athena.
  4. The Hades House Annabeth and Percy need to escape the underground while their friends assist them from the surface. They must confront Hades and a plan to bring Gaea, the Greek name for Mother Earth, back to life.
  5. The Throne of Blood In the final book of the series, Percy and Annabeth battle Gaea, who wants to use demigod blood to gain power. The gods need to relax Camps Jupiter and Half-Blood so they can unite against their common enemy.

  1. The Hidden Message As a punishment, Zeus makes Apollo a teenager and sends him to live in New York City. Apollo asks a goddess named Meg and a boy named Percy Jackson to help him become one of the gods again.
  2. The Tell-Tale Sign Apollo is still trying to retrieve the Oracles, but he is facing magical creatures and the strong Triumvirate Holdings.
  3. The Maze is on fire. Apollo tries to become invincible again but fights the leaders of Triumvirate Holdings and ends up losing people he cares about.
  4. The Tomb of the Tyrant. Apollo and his friends need to enter an old cave to protect Camp Jupiter from Triumvirate Holdings. This is Apollo’s last test.
  5. The Nero Tower At the end of the story, Apollo and his holy friends face their biggest challenge in New York City. As Apollo tries to return to Mount Olympus, his family and relationships face their biggest challenges.
  6. The Star and the Sun Nico di Angelo and Will Solace are the main characters in this single book. Nico, the son of Hades, and Will, the son of Apollo, take a trip to the underworld. This gives Percy Jackson fans a new tale to enjoy.

New Books in the Percy Jackson Series

Rick Riordan announced that the seventh book in the Percy Jackson series, titled “Wrath of the Triple Goddess,” will be released on September 23, 2024. It is a book by Percy Jackson that follows the experiences of Percy and his friends.
